Health Center Resources

In addition to providing services, the staff of the Student Health Center has identified online and mobile resources that may be useful to Providence College students.

Students should remember that any information received from an online screening or mobile application is not a diagnosis.  A screening may simply indicate a need for further assessment and treatment by a qualified health professional.

The Dangers of Vaping

RIDOH Vaping Resources

Per the Rhode Island Department of Health (RIDOH): Young people who are addicted to vaping nicotine can use the This Is Quitting text-based app. They should test HOPE4RI to 88709.

The Rhode Island Nicotine Helpline (1-800-QUIT-NOW/1-800-784-8669 is ready to support any Rhode Islander over the age of 13 (or any student residing in Rhode Island) who want help quitting smoking or vaping.

Nicotine Replacement Therapy is available at no charge to any Rhode Islander 18 and older (or any student residing in Rhode Island), regardless of insurance status.
